Enterprise Integration

Leveraging existing investments through enterprise integration
The Dialog Manager Framework allows for specification of both push- and pull integration with support for Web Services, XML and embedded SQL. Integration services are enabled to be both interactively event-based invoked as well as batch invoked with multitasking management of all integrated scheduling functions.

  • Bi-Directional Integration with Foreign/External Data Sources
All Services involved with import/export and API event-model interface are configurable in terms of retrieving and delivering data directly both internally the relevant database as well as to/from external databases. Both the embedded database drivers (DB2 UDB, Sybase, Oracle and MS SQL) as well as standard ODBC/OLEDB and ADO.NET interfaces can be employed. In this way, data can be imported, exported or service published. Consequently, the application designer only needs to focus on the business logic as opposed to the technical implementation of the database connections.
  • Event and batch business process integration
The configured Business Components can be activated both as event-based and in batch with multitasking support. For instance, a Business Component exchanging data with an external Web Service can be activated when a certain field in a certain Business Entity is interactively updated. Or a batch job can be scheduled to activate the import service and retrieve data from an external SQL data source hourly from Monday till Friday concurrently with other batch jobs with full support for multitasking.
  • Dialog Manager Application Programming Interface (DMAPI)
Both “real-time” and batch based activation of integration components can embed custom business logic implemented in other IDEs. XML documents can be processed via DOM and Web Services can be consumed as well as J2EE,COM/COM+ ”Application Server Components” can be leveraged.
