Few processes are as difficult to manage and define as the strategy, objectives and individual components of an application implementation process. One reason is the wide ramifications – or consequences – of such a process. The project affects the organisation in so many areas and on so many levels that it most often requires highly focused preparation and management to steer the project in the right direction.

DM Software offers three different kinds of workshops: Business Workshop, Technical Workshop and Prototyping Workshop. Each focuses on different phases in the planning and possibly implementation process of a CRM solution. Together they constitute a "Proof of concept" that helps ensure an efficient and targeted implementation process.
Business Workshop
The Business Workshop focuses on the company’s relevant business- and organizational tasks as well as those processes that need to be addressed. The CRM project success criteria is defined by looking at the company’s strategy, objectives and resources. The business workshop results in a general demand specification for the system.
Technical Workshop
The purpose of the Technical Workshop is to uncover all thinkable technical conditions in the existing IT environment as well as determine the technical architecture for the planned solution. In this connection data sources and data models are analyzed and defined in order to dimensioning equipment, database and application program.
Prototyping Workshop
The purpose of a Prototyping Workshop is to use the most recent version of Dialog Manager to “translate” all previously defined process ideas and objectives into actual application setup. In other words, possibly based on conclusions from previous workshops, a prototype is designed in order to exemplify the system’s ability to meet the company’s requirements in terms of functionality, design, workflow and information structure. |
