Project Development is the ideal standard service product for customers that wish to initiate development of Dialog Manager specific functionality – based on features that may be on the development list but are not scheduled to be developed immediately.
The result of this unique development project initiated by the customer may be either a feature that is only available - and maybe only relevant for – the initiating customer. The agreement may also involve development of a feature that will become generally available in standard Dialog Manager upgrades. The two different technical point of departures are: DMAPI (via PowerScript events) or additions to the very Dialog Manager source code.
Project Development is the perfect example of the lack of distance between customers, on the one hand, and the software developer, on the other hand. Requirements vary greatly from business to business, from industry to industry. “Narrow” features may not be profitable – but they are attainable via the Development Agreement.
